Historical Background of Bushey Park Lodge No. 2381
Bushey Park was founded in 1890 and its founders wanted a Lodge with summer meetings, so that they may enjoy the Masonic meetings as well as picnic with their families afterwards in the park. The members came from the southwest London area and many still live here. The Lodge works with West End (via Bushey Park) and has always had strong familial ties (two members are the third generations). It meets on a Saturday afternoon and the Lodge members pride themselves on a high standard of ritual and an equally high standard of camaraderie.
