Historical Background of Æsculapius Lodge No. L2410
The first medical Lodge to be consecrated, Æsculapius has always been at the forefront of offering Freemasonry ‘for the convenience of doctors and dentists in London'. With historic ties to Guy's Hospital and incorporating the Lodges for King's College Hospital and St George's, Æsculapius now accepts medical students, dental students, doctors and dentists from all backgrounds. Meetings are relaxed but impressive, with a focus on delivering high-quality work backed by the enjoyment of medical camaraderie, which, of course, sometimes results in dark humour!
